Mum, Linda, & I, on the return from hospital following the operation - 4th March 1981.

Me - aged 2years - some would say not much has altered!

Dad and I - Blackpool 1982
at this point too some may say not much has altered!

My sister, Carolyn.
Dont know who was more upset at having a sister her or me!

My first sit on a horse.
Jamie was 27 years old.

Carolyn and I at the Church Gala.
Carolyn won the fancy dress - obviously! My Man U outfit didnt go down as good as Carolyn's - I won the year before though!

Me - cant beleive they have managed to get me to pose!

Carolyn and I at Bradford Libary Theatre.

The same competition - I looked awful!

A borrowed pony from the riding school. Tom Thumb - I fell off him in the Nursary Stakes and I had a leader too! How embarassing!!!

Lassie - the first pony Carolyn and I had. Sharing was not always straight forward - however I got her in the winter as Carolyn was not weather friendly.

Cassie the chestnut horse was the second one. She was kept for a long time after we grew out of her - she is with two Welsh Cobs, Charlie and Pipa.

Not one of my better jumping positions! However gone is the leader - shame the fence hadnt got much heigher than Nursary Stakes!
Romany was the pony I had in 1992/93.

Mum - not much has changed here either - those who come to the competitions - it is not the same bbq!

Winning the Ridden Championship on Cheers. 1995

Ian or Eyarth Zane which was his 'proper' name. He was a foal when I got him in 1995. Mum paid weekly for him. He was £100. He was shown for me by Robert, my friend at school and with the horses afterwards. Ian died when he was 4.

SAM

Chevet Express - Sam as he is know to most people.
He had won everything there was to win on that day. Robert took him for the lap of honour - I had run out of puff!

Cwrtash Bedwyn - or Jack as he was know. He was great. Sadly died at 6 years old. This was the only ridden competition he went to.
